How calculations work: Area = length × width. Tile effective area includes grout spacing. Tiles needed = ceil( area / tile_area × (1 + waste%) × patternFactor ). Boxes needed = ceil(tiles / tiles per box).

Example Calculation:

Let’s say you are redoing your kitchen:

Floor Area: 10 ft × 8 ft = 80 sq. ft.
Wall Backsplash: 3 walls total 30 sq. ft.
Tile Size: 12 × 12 inches (1 sq. ft. each tile)

You would need:

80 tiles for the floor
30 tiles for the walls
Add 10% wastage → 121 tiles total
